Diekirch is a historical and residential city north from the city center. It's known for the Diekirch Brewery and for the plethora of small museums, such as the National Museum of Military History, or the National Museum for Historical Vehicles. With plenty of sports facilities, a river popular with fishermen and for walks and the Ciné Scala cinema there is always something to do in Diekirch. Home to the prestigious Ecole d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg, primary and secondary schools as well as a boarding school, Diekirch is the perfect peaceful and friendly hometown for families. Close to Vianden, Ettelbruck and the E421 route, there is plenty to see and to do outside of visiting the city center.
