Location
Filsdorf is an idyllic village located in the municipality of Dalheim, in the southeast of the country. The village is mainly known for its Roman heritage. The Gallo-Roman settlement "Vicus Ricciacus" near present-day Dalheim was situated on the important communication route connecting the Mediterranean to the Rhine and included several temples and baths. The highlight of archaeological achievements was the discovery in 1985 of a theater with a capacity of 3,500 to 4,000 spectators. The Roman character of the site is today recalled by an obelisk topped by a Roman eagle on the plateau overlooking the village. The association "Ricciacus Frënn" also organizes guided tours of the Gallo-Roman theater and the vicus on summer weekend days.

In Dalheim, there are some restaurants and small shops. The "La Cerisaie" home of the Kräizbierg Foundation is located at the entrance to the village, near the school grounds, where people with physical disabilities can find supported accommodation.

The "Charly Gaul" cycle path (PC11) stretches over 14 km from Fentange to Ellange and passes through Roeser, Weiler-la-Tour, and Filsdorf.

Filsdorf is located in close proximity to several large towns such as Frisange or Remich, as well as near the French and German borders. The Remich Esplanade invites you to stroll the market every three Mondays and participate in the monthly flea market.

Mobility
The bus stop "Filsdorf, Op der Plaz" is a 5-minute walk from the property and is served by bus lines 171, 180, 192 and 455.
